Po zarejestrowaniu żrebaka w Księdze Stadnej Zangersheide VZW, otrzymasz fakturę od HorseID. Po otrzymaniu płatności , żrebak musi zostać zidentyfikowany za pomocą wybranego przez Ciebie identyfikatora (lek. wet, agent). Gdy tylko otrzymamy wszystkie wymagane informacje (nr mikroczipa, opis graficzny i słowny, pozytywny wynik DNA, wydrukujemy paszport i wyślemy go do Ciebie. 

Outside Belgium:

The procedure for foal registration outside Belgium depends on the member state in question. Generally, the foal can be easily registered via the website of Zangersheide. As soon as the foal has been registered via the website you will receive a sketching form. The veterinarian is required to complete the sketching form of the foal and to send us the microchip number together with the hair samples for DNA verification.

Another option for foal registration is to ask the veterinarian to download the Zangersheide Horse Identity App and complete the foal sketch on the App. Following that, hair samples of both dam and foal have to be sent to Zangersheide for DNA verification.

Studbook Zangersheide vzw takes every effort to deliver your passport as soon as possible. The average processing time depends on several factors; the identifier, the DNA verification in the laboratory, printing of the passport… We generally need a period of four weeks from the moment we have received all the data.

No, you don’t. A stud service certificate is no longer necessary because Studbook Zangersheide vzw carries out parentage verification of every foal via DNA analysis.

Of course you can! As a rule, every foal whose parents have been registered (and for stallions have been approved by) in a WBFSH-recognised studbook can be registered with Studbook Zangersheide vzw. This is on the condition that both parents were bred for the sport or can submit sport results. In case of doubt please get in touch with our studbook office.

A Zangersheide passport is a quality label for your foal and horse. It is evidence that your foal has been correctly identified and that its DNA profile is correct. It also offers you a chance of winning one of the numerous bonuses for breeders and you are entitled to take part in the various Zangersheide events.

In case of a change in ownership you can send the horse’s passport to our studbook office in Lanaken, together with a sale statement from the last-known owner on the passport. In case this document is not in your possession we will get in touch with the last-known owner on your behalf.

Belgium

You have to apply for your duplicate passport via HorseID. HorseID will then send the application to the studbook. We do ask for a DNA hairsample which you can send to Zangersheide. We will perform an identical check. After this we can send a duplicate.

Outside Belgium

You can request your duplicate passport via our studbook and we would like to receive the following items:

- A written declaration showing that you do not have an original passport.

- A written description AND/OR some clear photos of the complete horse.

- A DNA hair sample (15 to 20 hairs) of the mane or tail (no body hair - DO NOT cut).

- A proof of reading the chip number which is active in your horse.

- A statement of sale (If you are the new owner) from the last known owner(s) listed in the passport.

- The full contact details of the new owner.

(Please write your details as fully as possible and in print, often it is very difficult for us to read the handwriting)

Ordering semen can be done by phone (+32 89 73 00 30) or via this link. Please note: during the stud season semen orders have to be sent in before 09:00 AM.

During the stud season you can put in a new semen order (conform our stallion conditions) after a negative pregnancy test. In case the mare is still not in foal at the end of the stud season, we need a non-gestation statement from your veterinarian.

All our stallions (even stallions who have not been available with fresh semen for a while) are available for ICSI in various centres across the world. Please ask our staff for information about our favourable conditions.
