L’Albertine Sitte

ZANGERSHEIDE

With buyers from the United States over Hungary to the United Arab Emirates, the April edition of Zangersheide.Auction once again lived up to its expectations! A collection of talented young horses ranging from 3 year old freejumpers to 6 year old horses under saddle went under the online auction hammer and found new stables all over the world.

The most striking name was that of the 6-year-old grey mare L'Albertine Sitte, a daughter of Greco Sitte in combination with Ksar Sitte and a half-sister of the 1.60m mare Artemise du Houssoit (Sherman Sitte), the former GP- horse of the American rider Andrew Kocher. L'Albertine Sitte could already count on a lot of interest in recent days and it were ultimately the American customers Edge Water Sporthorses and Crescent Farms who entered into a partnership and bought L'Albertine Sitte for an amount of 87,000 euros.

The second most money was paid for the 6-year-old Zangersheide mare Cacahuete Z, a daughter of Comilfo Plus Z out of the famous mare Cocaine Z (Caretano Z) and so a half-sister of, among others, the GP mare Tabou Z and the stallions Crowntano Z , Candico Z and of course Corico Z. Cacahuete Z made many hearts beat faster with her light-footedness and after a tough bidding duel until the end of the auction, it was a Spanish buyer who bought her to for an amount of 72,000 euros.

There were also many candidates for the 5-year-old coloured gelding Mariano Sitte, a son of Fidelgo du Houssoit and Ugano Sitte from the same dam line as the GP horses Emerald Sitte, Sherman Sitte and the stallion Ogano Sitte. Mariano Sitte also crosses over to the United States and an amount of 50,000 euros was paid for him.

Next to the various buyers from the United States, there was also a lot of interest from Hungary. For example, a Hungarian investment group bought, among others, the 3-year-old chestnut stallion Erald de Poteau Z (Emerald van 't Ruytershof x Quidam de Rêvel) for an amount of 39,000 euros and the 4-year-old mare D'Amour van den Haze Z (Dominator 2000 Z x Zapatero VDL) for an amount of 31,000 euros. Clients from Mexico invested in the 3-year-old stallion Urus (Dominator 2000 Z x Cicero Z Van Paemel) and in the 4-year-old mare Okaïre (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Thunder van de Zuuthoeve).
