On Dutch soil there was again some international action last weekend in Peelbergen Equestrian Center, Kronenberg. It became a successful weekend for the Dutch rider Leopold van Asten with the 10-year-old gelding VDL Groep Iron Z, a son of Charisma Z and Mr. Blue from the breeding farm of Stoeterij Duyselshof. Van Asten and VDL Groep Iron Z already were placed twice on Wednesday and Thursday, but kept the best for during the CSI2* GP on Saturday afternoon. After a clear round, they were one of the 24 combinations that get a ticket for the jump-off. As the penultimate starter, they again managed to ensure a flawless round and this performance was good for 3rd place in the ranking.

Another combination that jumped into the picture last weekend was the Italian lady rider Alexa Larkin with the 9-year-old gelding Dilajo Oh Z, a son of Dicasi O.H. and Larimar who was bred by BVBA O.H. Larkin and Dilajo Oh Z immediately jumped to a 7th place during the opening day on Wednesday in the 1.40m class and a day later a 5th place followed in another 1.40m class. During the 1.40m class on Wednesday, there was also a 4th place for the Dutch rider Lars Kersten with the 10-year-old stallion Boebka Vh Marienshof Z (Balou du Rouet x Clinton – B: Stal Marienshof).

Finally, on Friday we also saw some Zangersheide horses in the top 10 of the ranking during the 1.45m class with jump-off. There was a 7th place for the British lady rider Georgia Tame with the 9-year-old gelding Capriaat Wolfsven Z (Calais Z x Calvani – B: Luc & Thomas Kaers), a 9th place for the Belgian rider Jules van Hoydonck with the also 9-year-old mare Desiree Dr Z (Sea Coast Don't Touch Tiji Hero Z x Quinar Z – B: Reinout Delagaye) and a 10th place for the Dutch rider Willem Greve with the 8-year-old mare Candy Luck Z (Comme Il Faut x Canturo – B: Dirk Geerinckx) . Greve and Candy Luck Z managed to set the fastest time in the 18-strong jump-off, but a fault along their way kept them from victory.
