On Dutch soil, the most attention last weekend went of course to the Longines Global Champions Tour in Valkenswaard, but also in Peelbergen Equestrian Center, Kronenberg, an international show took place. The CSI2* GP was already on the program there on Saturday and with a victory and a 2nd place it was completely dominated by the Zangersheide horses.

The victory was reserved for the Dutch rider Jelmer Hoekstra with the 9-year-old gelding Seducteur d'Hyrencourt Z, a son of Hunter's Scendro and Elanville who was bred by André Henry and who is also a half-brother of the 1.50m horses Alanix Hero Z ( Aganix du Seigneur Z) and MTM Zebra (ex Zao d'Hyrencourt – Zandor Z). Hoekstra and Seducteur d'Hyrencourt Z were one of the 21 combinations that managed to qualify for the jump-off after a clear round. As one of the last combinations at the start, they once again managed to deliver a flawless performance and with a finish time of 40.12 seconds they added this CSI2* GP to their list of honors!

But also the 2nd place in this GP was colored blue and yellow and that's what the Swiss lady rider Janika Sprunger took care of with the 8-year-old chestnut mare Kinmar Scarlett, a daughter of Akarad Hero Z and Lys de Darmen who was born at the home of breeders Gerry Marron and Luc Henry as A Kinmar Scarlett Z and with whom Sprunger also jumped to a 7th place on Thursday during the 1.45m high GP Qualifier. Sprunger and Kinmar Scarlett seemed to be on their way to the victory after a clear jump-off in 41.19 seconds, but in the end they had to acknowledge their superiority in Hoekstra and Seducteur d'Hyrencourt Z. For the Belgian rider Maurice van Roosbroeck there was a 6th place during this GP with the 9-year-old gelding Emir du Coeur des Collines Z (Elvis Ter Putte x Calypso III – B: Eric Vandewiele).

The victory during the 1.45m GP Qualifier on Thursday went to the Dutch rider Gerben Morsink with his home-bred 10-year-old gelding Carsey Z, a son of Carthino Z and Guidam. In a jump-off for which 21 combinations were able to qualify, the duo reached the finish in 37.37 seconds and with that performance they were almost 1.5 seconds ahead of the competition.

Another striking combination last weekend was the Belgian rider Roy Van Beek with the 8-year-old mare Celebrity – H, a daughter of Comme Il Faut and VDL Groep No Limit who was born at the home of breeder Second Life Stables BV as Celebrity From Second Life Z. Van Beek and Celebrity – H won both the 1.35m class on Thursday and the 1.40m class on Saturday and also secured a 2nd place during the 1.35m class on Friday.

Who were also placed twice were the French rider Guillaume Foutrier and the 9-year-old mare Toscane Z, a daughter of Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z and HH Radco, who was bred by Guido Bellemans. They started their show with a 5th place during the 1.40m class on Thursday and a day later followed a nice 2nd place during the 1.45m main class.

Finally, there was a 4th place for the Belgian rider Christophe Vanderhasselt with the 9-year-old mare Thunatellie Z (Thunder Vd Zuuthoeve x Heartbreaker – B: Ushuaia Horses NV) during the 1.40m class on Friday and a 5th place for his compatriot Axel Vandoorne with the 9-year-old stallion Balisto vd Schorre Z (Balou du Rouet x Argentinus – F: Steven Van Eeckhout) during the 1.40m class on Saturday.
