New Grand Prix victory for Eldorado Sunheup Z!

A week after their victory in the CSI3* GP of Megève, the French rider Nicolas Deseuzes and his 10-year-old stallion Eldorado Sunheup Z scored another Grand Prix victory last weekend! Deseuzes and Eldorado Sunheup Z, a son of Eldorado van de Zeshoek TN and Quartz du Chanu who was bred in France by Carine Groualle Elevage Sunheup, appeared at the start during the four-star show of Jura Rock'n Horses in Courlans and became the winners of the CSI4* GP on Sunday afternoon!
Deseuzes and Eldorado Sunheup Z already managed to deliver some strong performances in recent weeks and confirmed their good form again last weekend. They managed to jump into the picture for the first time on Friday with a victory during the 1.50m high GP Qualifier. In a jump-off for which 15 combinations were able to qualify, they finished clear in 39.47 seconds, which put them more than half a second ahead of the competition.
But the highlight of the weekend came for the duo on Sunday during the CSI4* GP. Deseuzes and Eldorado Sunheup Z remained clear in the basic round and were one of the 19 combinations that managed to qualify for the jump-off. They again managed to deliver a flawless performance and with a finish time of 37.89 seconds they managed to write a GP on their list of honors for the second week in a row!
Next to Deseuzes with Eldorado Sunheup Z, his compatriot Jean Luc Mourier also secured a blue/yellow victory in Courlans. During the 1.40m class on Thursday he became the winner with the 11-year-old gelding Expert DK Z, a son of Eldorado van de Zeshoek TN and Balou du Rouet who was bred in the Netherlands by Stal De Krochten. In a class against the clock, Mourier and Expert DK Z crossed the finish line in 57.29 seconds, which also gave them more than half a second ahead of the competition.
In 6th place in this class we saw the French rider Axel van Colen with the 8-year-old gelding Depp des Brimbelles Z (Darco x President – B: Haras des Brimbelles). He also managed to keep all the poles in the cups.
Next to his victory with Expert DK Z, Jean Luc Mourier also managed to jump into the picture in Courlans with the 8-year-old gelding Quaker Brimbelles Z (Quicksilver St Simeon x Hickstead), who was also bred by Haras des Brimbelles. Mourier and Quaker Brimbelles Z started their show with a 3rd place during the 1.40m high opening class on Wednesday and a day later followed a 4th place during the 1.45m high GP Qualifier.
During the 1.50m class on Saturday evening, a podium was reserved for the Italian lady rider Giulia Martinengo Marquet with the 8-year-old gelding Captain Morgan Weering Z (Carrera VDL x Arezzo VDL – B: Stal de Weering/R. Lanting). Both during the first and the second round they managed to keep it clear and with a finishing time of 52.99 seconds they secured the a 3rd place in the ranking.
Finally, both the Brazilian rider Joao Victor Castro with the 11-year-old grey stallion Casillias From Second Life Z (Corrado I x Cumano – B: Second Life Stables BV) and the Belgian rider Constant van Paesschen with the 12-year-old stallion Virocondo Z (Va -Vite x Lys de Darmen – B: Jos Ceulemans & Britt Vanluijten) jumped to a 5th place in the ranking. Victor Castro and Casillias From Second Life Z did that during the 1.45m class on Friday while van Paesschen and Virocondo Z took their 5th place during the 1.40m class on Wednesday.
