About EPLEASER VAN 'T HEIKE Z
Son of the the Olympic stallion For Pleasure, combined with Jos Lansink’s former 1.60m Grand Prix winner and World Equestrian bronze medalist Valentina van ‘t Heike (both among the best horses of their time) with Epleaser Z as a result. This combination proved to be a winning formula in many ways.
Winner of the Nations Cup in Aachen, winner of the 5* Grand Prix in Treffen, along numerous podium finishes at the highest level in his career with Christian Ahlmann, who still refers to Epleaser Z, as one of the most careful horses he has ever ridden..
During his sportscareer, Epleaser Z didn’t serve many mares, but the success rate of his progeny is nothing but exceptional. Recognized as the best sire of his generation. In 2023 he holds the title of the sire with the highest percentage of offspring competing at 1.60m level. In fact, even with such a relatively small number of progeny, Epleaser Z has nearly 40 offspring successfully competing at 1.50m to 1.60m level. This impressive list includes Angelika Augustson’s World Cup Winner Kalinka van de Nachtegaele, Gerfried Puck’s World Cup winner Equitron Melody vd Smidshoeve, and Grand Prix winners such as Maiken van der Vleuten’s Kamara van ‘t Heike, and Bryan Balsiger’s Everest v't Hof V Eversem Z.
