The fourth week of the Moura Tours in Valencia, Spain, last weekend turned out to be another top weekend for British rider Laura Renwick and her 11-year-old mare Enjoy Ck Z! As in previous weeks, the successful duo came out particularly strong, securing silver in the CSI3* Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon for the second week in a row!
A total of 45 combinations took their chances in the 1.50m final of the weekend on Sunday and of these, 10 managed to jump to a place in the jump-off. So one of them was once again Laura Renwick and her top mare Enjoy Ck Z, the daughter of Echo van 't Spieveld and Coronado, bred by Kristof Ceulemans. In that jump-off, Renwick and Enjoy Ck Z once again confirmed their excellent form of the past few weeks and with another flawless performance they jumped to Grand Prix silver this week too!
Another striking combination in Valencia was Brazilian rider Luiz Felipe Cortizo Gonçalves De Azevedo Filho and his 10-year-old grey mare Sierra du Piedroux Z, the breeding product of Claude Noirot combining the blood of Hunter's Scendix with that of Contefino. Luiz Felipe Cortizo Gonçalves De Azevedo Filho and Sierra du Piedroux Z managed to take 4th place in both the 1.45m class on Thursday and the Longines Ranking Test on Friday, while securing 8th place in the standings at the CSI3* Grand Prix.
In the 1.45m class on Thursday, his son Luiz Felipe Neto de Azevedo was also one of the prize winners with the 9-year-old chestnut gelding Click Clack Vdc Z, a son of Comilfo Plus Z and Indian Gold Van Catershoeve from the breeding of Joke Mardaga. In this class against the clock, they also neatly left all the bars in the scoops, finishing 9th. Dutch rider Michiel Brusse and the 10-year-old gelding Duran Tk Z (Dallas x Karandasj - B: J. Ten Cate) then managed to jump into the prizes in the Longines Ranking Test on Friday. They took 7th place after a flawless round.
Finally, on Saturday afternoon there was also a podium place for British rider James Smith with the 9-year-old gelding Dominican 2000 Z, a son of Dominator 2000 Z and Casir ASK bred by Carl Brems and Mieke Bosma. They neatly left all the bars in the 1.35m class, which was good for2nd place in the standings.
