Z ranking

Just before the final of the Belgian Championship, the breeders of the Z Ranking were honored. These are Z horses that stand out in the sport and are ranked according to the prize money they've won.

Dexter Fontenis Z won the Z Ranking because of his continuity. In all 5* competitions that Dexter and Simon Delestre jumped they ranked in the top. Collecting a steady flow of prize money at every competition which brings their total this season to 677.203 euros.

Jérôme Hennau is the official breeder of Dexter Fontenis Z (Diarado x Voltaire). “It was an occasional collaboration between Eric Hochstadter and myself. He is the owner of the dam, Gorka des Fontenis, the competition horse of his son Nicholas. From that Gorka, we bred Dexter Fontenis Z.”  Eric Hochstadter is a business partner of Simon Delestre and owner of some of his horses. Johannes Farce trained the horse. Later, Jennifer Hochstadster took the reins for a year before Dexter finally left for Simon Delestre at the age of seven. Simon Delestre says Dexter Fontenis Z has everything you need in the top sport. He is alert, careful and fast.

The positive surprise of Ambassador Z
The ten-year-old Ambassador Z (Aganix du Seigneur Z) almost appeared out of nowhere in second place in the ranking. Which has everything to do with his victory in the Global Champions Tour of Monte Carlo. That victory brought in €495.000 just like that. And a cheque for breeder Jos Lansink. 'I don't have to explain the reason why I chose Aganix, for sure,' Jos Lansink laughs: 'I have always been the biggest fan of Aganix, as a sport stallion and later as a breeding stallion. Aganix was going to be my Olympic horse, an injury decided otherwise. In my breeding, it was obvious that I would use Aganix. Mother Prada van 't Beekhof Z (Pablo van Berkenbroeck) had an insane amount of blood and never competed in the sport. She was owned by Jack van Mierlo. We bred Ambassador together.'

Bronze Beau de Laubry Z
Beau de Laubry Z is an 11-year-old son of Bisquet Balou vd Mispelaere, with whom Koen Vereecke and Nicola Philippaerts jumped internationally. Beau's dam is even more famous: Wabelle de Muze (Nabab de Reve) out of the dam line of Ta Belle and La Belle van Sombeke. Ta Belle is also the dam of Quasibelle du Seigneur and vice Olympic champion London. Beau De Laubry Z won the 5* GP of Dinard in July with Kevin Staut. In the winter, they triumphed in the Stuttgart World Cup. Recently, they also won a 1.60m 5* class in Calgary. Just to say that Beau has grown into a full-fledged 5* horse. Beau was born in the De Laubry stud farm of Michel Haelterman, a successful businessman and ditto breeder.
