Zangersheide and Sentower Park are preparing for an unseen sport & breeding spectacle
Zangersheide
Today Wednesday, February 15, it's time for the long-awaited Sentower Park x The Zangersheide International event where sport and breeding come together! We will start around 2 pm with two CSI1* classes while later in the evening the first CSI4* Qualification for the Sires will take place.
On Thursday we speed things up, because then not only will the second CSI4* Qualification for the Sires take place, also the first CSI4* 1m50 Longines Ranking class will be scheduled on Thursday. Thursday evening will be a real highlight for the breeders, because after two years of virtual events, we are finally back in real life with the Zangersheide stallion presentation! Under the approving eye of hostess Judy Ann Melchior and world speaker Frederik De Backer, you as a breeder have the opportunity to analyze and get to know the stallions up close. Whether it concerns young stallions such as Querido Z or proven toppers such as Taloubet Z and Dominator Z, the Z stallions have one common characteristic: they perform in the sport! If you choose a Z stallion, you choose sustainable quality and that is why the stallion presentation on Thursday evening, February 16, is certainly worth a mark in your agenda. Since we are happy that we can finally welcome you all back in person, a real stallion party has also been planned after the stallion presentation!
Are you especially curious about the stallions of the future? Then you can take a seat on the outdoor arena around 10 am on Thursday for the Zangersheide stallion selection. This record edition has no fewer than 127 participants! They will perform for the first time on Thursday 16 February for their presentation in hand.
On Friday 17 February, you will be faced with a difficult choice as a spectator for the first time. At 8:00 a.m., the free jumping for the candidate Zangersheide stallions will start in the new stallions ring. This is your chance to assess 127 young stallions and to look at a very varied range of sires and dam lines.
Do you prefer the big sport? Then from 8h00 you can watch the CSI4* 1m40 class, which will be followed by the second CSI5* 1m50 Longines Ranking class. Afterwards you will have the opportunity to judge some young talents of the future in the categories for 5, 6 and 7 year old stallions. The apotheosis of the evening is undoubtedly the CSI4* 1m45 high Sires of the World class where sport and breeding go hand in hand.
On Saturday 18 February we will continue with the sport and breeding spectacle. The best candidate stallions will appear for a second time before the jury in the stallion arena around 9:00 am to receive the coveted 'Zangersheide'-approved label. We also have good news for investors in sport and breeding, because the Zangersheide International Stallion Auction will also take place on Saturday evening at 20:00 sharp. The best stallions of the Zangersheide stallion selection will be presented here to the general public, so this is your chance to invest in top-class sport and breeding!
Would you rather be inspired by real top sport? Then you can watch the CSI1* classes on the main arena on Saturday morning from 8:00 am, followed by the CSI4* 1m35 class and a third CSI4* 1m50 Ranking class, this time against the clock. As mentioned earlier, the main arena will close on Saturday evening at 8:00 PM with the stallion auction.
On Sunday 19 February you can watch the CSI4* 1m40 class on the main arena from 9:00 am. Then the CSI1* Grand Prix is on the program, followed by absolute top sport thanks to the CSI4* 1m55 Grand Prix!
Are you curious about what caliber of participants you can expect at The Zangersheide International? How about number 1 in the world, Henrik von Eckermann? But the number 7, Marlon Modolo Zanotelli, and the number 10, Kevin Staut, will also take part in this magnificent competition. Are you more curious about the stallions? Former Sires of the World winner Kasanova de la Pomme will participate, just like Sea Coast Enjoy Z and Faldiano, who took silver and bronze respectively during the Sires of the World in Lanaken last year. Other well-known names are Comthago VDL, Scuderia 1918 Casago, D'Aganix 2000 Z, Cascol Z, Hotspot, Foncetti van de Heffinck, Dourkhan Hero Z, and Mr Uno-K van 't Kattenheye to name just a few stallions.
