The American rider Kent Farrington wrote another GP on his list of honors last weekend! Two weeks after he already won the CSI5* GP of Calgary with the Comilfo Plus Z son Landon (ex Crack de Nyze Z – F: Danny Nijs), this time he became the winner in the CSI3* GP of the Travers City Horse Shows in Williamsburg. He won this GP with the 9-year-old mare Toulayna, a daughter of Toulon and Parco who was born at the home of breeder Jasper Doucé as Toulayna van het Bloesemhof Z and with whom Farrington won already the CSI4* of Wellington earlier this year.

Farrington and Toulayna remained clear in the basic round and were one of the 14 combinations that managed to qualify for the jump-off. They again managed to ensure a clear round and eventually outclassed the competition with a finish time of 39.48 seconds.

Kent Farrington: “Toulayna has been great. She’s really stepped up this year and has already won some grand prixs and jumped some five-star classes. This was an easier week for her compared to what we’ve been doing and I thought she really shined.”

In 8th place in this CSI3* GP we saw the Irish rider Simon McCarthy and the 11-year-old stallion Athletix Hero Z, a son of our chestnut stallion Aganix du Seigneur Z and HH Radco who was bred by Gerry Marron and Luc Henry. McCarthy and Athletix Hero Z managed to keep all the poles in the cups, but run into 3 penalty points for time.

Another combination that jumped into the picture was the Spanish rider Francisco Goyoaga Mollet with the 12-year-old mare The Diamant Rose Z, also a daughter of Toulon in combination with Jaunty Daredevil and she was bred in the Netherlands by J. Kemps. During the 1.45m class on Friday they remained clear both during the 1st and 2nd phase and this performance earned them a 6th place in the ranking.
