Super Star van 't Keikelhof and Marthe Heusdens win consolation six-year-olds

Super Star van 't Keikelhof & Marthe Heusdens

For the horses that did not qualify for the finals, the consolations were held Saturday. Among the six-year-old horses, the difference between the numbers one and two was only a hundredth of a second. The BWP stallion Super Star van 't Keikelhof (s. Bigstar, mv. For Pleasure, bred by Hans Hemelaer) won the class in the end with Marthe Heusdens (BEL) in the saddle.

For Great Britain, Harry Bateman sent the BE/SIES-registered (Studbook for Irish and European Sporthorses) mare Strike a Pose, bred by Vicky Golding just missed out on the best time and had to settle for second place. Under the French flag, Maxime Thefenne rode KWPN gelding Narcos to third place. The descendant of Baloubet du Rouet out of a Clinton mare was bred in the Netherlands by T. Verbeek.

The top five was completed by BWP's Sonora III (by El Barione III Z, mv. Vigo D' Arsouilles, bred by Harrie Theeuwes Stables) who was ridden to fourth place by Poland's Mateusz Tyszko. Belgian Wout Neven signed up for fifth place with Cherma STS Z (v. Comme il Faut, mv. Emerald vh Ruytershof, bred by Frank Jennen).
