Son of Aganix du Seigneur Z wins Monaco LGCT Grand Prix

After the stage in Stockholm, there was once again action in the Longines Global Champions Tour last weekend. For this 10th stage of the season, they headed to the principality of Monaco, where it was another fantastic competition for the colours of Zangersheide! Indeed, at the LGCT Grand Prix on Saturday evening, victory was coloured blue and yellow thanks to young French rider Inès Joly and her 10-year-old gelding Ambassador Z, a son of our chestnut stallion Aganix du Seigneur Z and Illustro bred by none other than Jos Lansink. Joly and Ambassador Z were one of only two combinations to clear the spirited basic round ridden by Italian track builder Uliano Vezzani and his team, qualifying for the jump-off. As the first combination at the start, they once again managed to ensure a flawless round and thus Joly wrote her very first CSI5* GP on her record!
Inès Joly: "I never imagined this, it's amazing and unbelievable. I knew I had one chance, so I thought I'll just try it! It was the chance of a lifetime and I took it. If you had told me two years ago that I would win my first 5* Grand Prix at the Longines Global Champions Tour, I would have declared you crazy. It really is a dream come true!"
On Friday, French rider Simon Delestre managed to claim another starring role with his 11-year-old black gelding Dexter Fontenis Z, the son of Diarado and Voltaire bred by S.C.R.I S.Ky Horses and with whom he also won a class at the Longines Global Champions Tour of St. Tropez at the end of May. In the second and decisive round of the Global Champions League, Delestre and Dexter Fontenis Z rushed to the finishing line in 65.03 seconds and that performance made him the winner of the individual standings.
