The second qualification for the six-year-old horses was convincingly won today by Seppe Wouters and Libelle Asborne Z. Under the supervision of many spectators and a radiant sun, the Belgian rider managed to achieve an unbeatable time with the Zangersheide mare in the class against the clock.

Libelle Asborne Z, a daughter of Lector vd Bisschop and Calvaro Z who was bred by Asborne BVBA, already won the Belgian Championship a 5-year-old and also knows how to impress at the age of 6. Especially with the finish time today, which was over a second faster than the number two.

For Ireland, Niamh McEvoy clocked the second time in the 1.35m class with Boleybawn Alvaro (breeder R. Rothwell). This Irish-bred stallion by Dominator 2000 Z out of a Crown Z mare won both qualifying classes in the five-year-olds last year and finished on silver in the final. So this combination is again well on its way towards a podium finish on Sunday.
