German Heike Neukötter, together with her family, has been breeding horses and pony's for more than 50 years. "We have sold our homebred horses all over the world. One dressage pony we sold to Australia has won everything there is to win for young pony's. We have also sold horses to Portugal, England, Sweden and the United States, among others. My daughter Pia is riding a homebred mare CCI3*L and will compete in CCI4* this year."

Last year, Heike started breeding with a partner, under the name Neukötter & Harms. "Breeding is a hobby for us. We have three mares, two of them are jumping bred and one is a dressage mare. So this year we are expecting three foals."

One of them has already been born, the filly Noelani von Bagband N Z was born on 7 March, sired by Nasdaq Z. Noelani's dam is Fiona, a daughter of For Pleasure out of the stallion Grundstein x Fernjäger. The mare is a heavy mare with a good foundation. She is naturally very balanced and calm." Heike chose to cross Fiona with Nasdaq Z. "We chose Nasdaq Z because he has a good and careful jump. Because Fiona is a heavy mare, we hope for more blood in her offspring, which Nasdaq Z certainly gives."

The delivery went smoothly and all expectations were exceeded! In terms of looks, she looks very much like her sire. She is colourful, stands well on her feet and has a very correct conformation." In the future, we would like to see her under saddle and compete in show jumping competitions by a professional rider. We are curious to see how she will do that. We also don't rule out breeding another foal with this mare."

"We have another jumping-bred mare (by Contendro out of Ahorn Z x Wendekreis). She is expecting a foal by Contagio Z in May, when we hope to have another healthy foal with the qualities of its sire. This foal will then be offered for sale."
