Earlier this week, the WBFSH announced its monthly rankings, publishing both an individual ranking and a studbook ranking for all disciplines.
Among the show jumpers, the mare Legacy is the new best Belgian jumper in the world. Legacy was born in 2010 to breeder Romain Rotty as Chavantele Z and is a daughter of Chippendale Z and Bon Ami. Under the saddle of Irish rider Daniel Coyle she has already amassed an impressive record in recent years and in recent weeks Coyle and Legacy once again showed their good form. With two clear rounds, they had an important share in the Irish victory at the Longines League Of Nations in Ocala and a fortnight ago, at the Nations Cup in Rome, the successful duo also managed to secure a clear round.
Moreover, those good performances in recent weeks have not only led to Legacy moving up a few places in the WBFSH ranking, Coyle and Legacy were now definitely selected to represent the Irish équipe at the Olympic Games in Paris a few days ago!
Studbook ranking
But not only individually did the May WBFSH ranking become a success for our blue/yellow colours, as a studbook we also scored points again, rising to2nd place with a score of 5457 points.
For this ranking, the points of the six best performing horses of each studbook are used and for our studbook, besides Legacy, these were Landon (ex Crack de Nyze Z - Comilfo Plus Z x Quadrillo - F: Danny Nijs), Cancun Torel Z (Cosinhus x Grannus - B: Francois Xavier Guyard), Dexter Fontenis Z (Diarado x Voltaire - F: S.C.R.I S.Ky Horses), Beau de Laubry Z (Bisquet Balou van de Mispelaere x Nabab de Rêve - B: Haras de Laubry) and Sierra du Piedroux Z (Hunter's Scendix x Contofino - B: Claude Noirot).
