Laura Renwick and Enjoy CK Z jump to silver in the CSI4* GP of Montefalco

For the second week in a row, the CSI4* GP of Montefalco in Italy brought success for Zangersheide's blue/yellow colours. Following the victory of Brazilian rider Pedro Veniss and his chestnut gelding Nimrod de Muze Z the week before, last Sunday it was British rider Laura Renwick who made it to the podium with her 11-year-old grey mare Enjoy CK Z, a daughter of Echo van 't Spieveld and Coronado bred by Kristof Ceulemans and whom Renwick won the CSI3* GP of Valencia just last winter. Renwick and Enjoy CK Z already started their show in Montefalco with a ^3rd place in the 1.45m class on Thursday and during the CSI4* GP they were one of the 11 combinations that managed to advance to the jump-off. In it, they once again managed to deliver a flawless round and a finishing time of 44.96 seconds earned them^2nd place in the standings.

But Enjoy CK Z was not the only Zangersheide horse that managed to finish in this CSI4* GP. There was also an ^8th place for Emirati Ali Hamad Al Kirbi with the 10-year-old chestnut gelding Cjoxx Z (Comme Il Faut x Tlaloc la Silla - F: Joop Timmer) and a ^9th place for Italian rider Davide Kainich with the 14-year-old mare Naomi Z (Numero Uno x Utrillo Z - B: Sandra Geraeds). Both saw a bar roll out of the scoops in the jump-off. Moreover, for Kainich and Naomi Z this was already the second ranking of the weekend after they were also good for a ^9th place in the 1.50m class on Friday.

In addition to his good performance with Naomi Z, Davide Kainich also managed to place twice with the 9-year-old chestnut mare I Save The Day Z, a daughter of Zazu (ex I Am Moerhoeve's Star) and Cavalier bred in the Netherlands by W.J.F. van der Donk and M.M. Kooi. They started their show with a ^9th place during the 1.45m class on Thursday and two days later another ^10th place followed during also a 1.45m class.

Furthermore, at Le Lame International it was also another successful weekend for Spanish rider Ismael Garcia Roque and the 9-year-old chestnut gelding Brazilia DK Z, a son of By Ceira d'Ick and Argentinus bred in France by EARL Haras d'Ick, with whom Garcia Roque also managed to jump into the limelight last week. Garcia Roque and Brazilia DK Z competed twice last weekend and both in the 1.45m class on Thursday and on Saturday they managed to jump to^2nd place in the standings.

On Saturday there was also a^2nd place for the fast Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano and the 8-year-old stallion Coca Vd Gulden Z, a son of Coronado II Z and Heartbreaker bred by Etienne Heymans. They achieved this^2nd place in the 1.40m class, where with a finishing time of 38.00 seconds in the^2nd phase, they were more than half a second short of victory. In the same 1.40m class, there was also a ^5th place for Brazilian rider Mariana Frauches Chaves with the 9-year-old stallion Quasi Du Cache Pot Z (Quasimodo Vd Molendreef Z x Lux Z - B: G. Van Bunder & A. Geurts).

Finally, last weekend there was also a blue/yellow victory to note and that was provided by Italian rider Andrea Venturini and the 12-year-old mare Corniche QP Z, a daughter of Cornet Obolensky and Chin Chin bred by Keros NV. In the 1.40m class on Thursday, Vanturini and Corniche QP Z managed to outclass the competition with a clear round in 61.39 seconds.
