Impress-K Van 't Kattenheye Z impresses in Cannes LGCT Grand Prix

Remaining clear in both the first round and the jump-off and this during the very first CSI5* GP in which they appeared at the start... It was all up to Belgian rider Thibeau Spits and his 9-year-old black stallion Impress-K van 't Kattenheye Z, the son of Indoktro-K Van Kattenheye and Vagabond de la Pomme from the breeding farm of Tony Raman and Mieke Strobbe, last weekend.
Spits and his black pearl already managed to produce several strong performances in recent weeks such as team win at the Longines Global Champions League of Mexico City, 8th place at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Shanghai and 2 flawless rounds at the CSIO3* Nations Cup of Kronenberg. Last weekend, the 7th stage of the Longines Global Champions Tour was on the programme in the French film city of Cannes and in it, the successful duo managed to ensure a banging performance during the LGCT Grand Prix on Saturday evening.
Spits and Impress already appeared as the 4th combination to start in the basic round and after a clear round they were the first combination to qualify for the jump-off. As a result, they were also the first in the jump-off and with a clear round in 43.23 seconds they secured a nice 4th place in the standings during their CSI5* GP debut.
Another combination that managed to jump into the prizes in Cannes was Swiss rider Jane Richard with the 12-year-old grey mare Molly Mallone Z, a daughter of Mylord Carthago and Cassini II bred in the Netherlands by Henk van Brussel. During the 1.45m class on Thursday, they managed to ensure a flawless round and this performance earned them 5th place in the standings.
