€31,000 for Cadeau Van 't Gebergte Z at first Zangersheide Foal Auction

Full of expectations, we were looking forward to the denouement of our first Zangersheide Online Foal Auction of the season yesterday evening! With great pride, we were once again able to present an impressive collection consisting of 17 top foals carefully selected by our expert team. The strong collection with well-bred and striking foals by leading jumping stallions clearly struck a chord with the general public, as with a high number of visitors on our website and buyers all over the world, it was another successful evening for Zangersheide.Auction.

The auction topper of the evening was the filly Cadeau Van 't Gebergte Z from the breeding of Elke Janssens. Cadeau Van 't Gebergte Z is a daughter of Chacco Blue combined with Diamant de Semilly and is a granddaughter of Niels Bruynseels' former Grand Prix mare Ilusionata van 't Meulenhof (Lord Z). This particularly interesting pedigree meant that Cadeau Van 't Gebergte Z attracted a lot of interest and, via our Polish partner, she was eventually sold to a loyal Polish customer for 31,000 euros.

Last night, however, Cadeau Van 't Gebergte Z was not the only foal sold to Poland. Indeed, the colts Caesar VDM Stud Z (Chacco Blue x Goethe - B: Vdm Stud B.v.) and Fahrenheit Van WW Z (For Pleasure x Kashmir Van Schuttershof - B: WW Stables) also found their new owners in eastern Europe. Caesar VDM Stud Z was sold for a sum of 19,500 euros, while an amount of 11,000 euros was put on the table for Fahrenheit Van WW Z.

Another foal that clearly caught the eye of the prospective buyers was the colt Cadillac Z, a direct son of Cumano out of the Grand Prix mare Dalila de la Pomme (Taran de la Pomme). There were bids for this Cadillac Z from all corners of the world and in the end it was a Canadian buyer who managed to take home his haul for €30,000.

A new buyer from Venezuela then invested in the filly Cinderella SES Z, owned by breeder Sydney Eras. Cinderella SES Z descends from the stallion Comme Il Faut and is a granddaughter of the former Grand Prix mare Collezione Cesaro La Perla (Rincon As). She was sold for €15,500.

Finally, 15,000 euros was also paid for the filly Ultima Van De Wittert Z, a daughter of Utamaro D'Ecaussines Z and Gitano van Berkenbroeck from the breeding of Wouter Smeets. With her bright blue eyes, Ultima Van De Wittert Z was literally the eye-catcher of the evening and she is moving to Austria.
