Emily Blunt Z wins German Zangersheide Foal Championship 2024

Hof Brüning was the setting yesterday for the German Zangersheide Foal Championship 2024, which took place again this year, after several years of absence. This time in beautiful Bruchhausen-Vilsen. A total of 19 foals were presented to our expert jury, consisting of Heinz Meyer and Antonius Schulze-Averdiek, who judged the foals on the well-known criteria of correctness, movement, type, overall impression and dam line.

The foal that could impress our jury the most was the filly Emily Blunt Z, bred at Hof Brüning. Emily Blunt Z is a daughter of Emerald van 't Ruytershof and is out of the Cornet Obolensky mare Cameron Diaz. She can already show some nobility in breeding, as with Come On Uwe (Contendro I), Acado 14 (Aga Khan Z) and Colliers Carlotta (Codex One Z , she has already produced three offspring that are themselves competing at 1.45m level.

Silver went to the colt Eastcoast Ermitage GP Z, a breeding product of Gestüt Pohlsee. Eastcoast Ermitage GP Z is, as his name might already suggest, a son of Belgian Champion Ermitage Kalone and this combined with the blood of Quirado. Dam Bea is also the dam of the GP horse Farbenfroh (Uriko) and of the 1.45m horse Halli Galli (Casall ASK).

The colt Casual Chic Z finished 3rd at this foal championship. Casual Chic Z was also bred at Hof Brüning and is a son of Cornet Obolensky out of the Come On mare Caribik Z. This mare was herself active in the international showjumping sport and jumped at the highest level with German rider Maximilian Weishaupt.
