On Dutch soil, there was international action again last weekend at Kronenberg's Peelbergen Equestrian Centre, where a two-star competition was on the programme. With two victories, it was another particularly good competition there for Swedish rider Ebba Danielsson and the 13-year-old mare T-Gavoli Z, a daughter of Twister de la Pomme and Prince Royal who was bred in the Netherlands by G.J.A. Moerings and mie Danielsson also managed to win four classes at the Andalucia Sunshine Tour of Vejer de la Frontera in recent weeks.
Danielsson and T-Gavoli Z got off to an excellent start in Kronenberg, as they were the immediate winners of the 1.40m Medium Tour on Thursday during the opening day. In a class against the clock, they raced to a convincing finishing time of 62.48 seconds, putting them almost 2.5 seconds ahead of the competition. But also on Saturday during the final day, Danielsson and T-Gavoli Z managed to add a victory to their record. In the Small Tour over a height of 1.40m they kept it clear during both the1st and2nd phases and with a finishing time of 28.82 seconds they narrowly beat the competition.
Who also had a good competition in Kronenberg was the young Belgian rider Jules Van Hoydonck with the 11-year-old mare Elize Z, a breeding product of Kris Van Kerckhove who combined the blood of Elvis Ter Putte with that of Prince Royal. Van Hoydonck and Elize Z jumped to victory in the 1.35m class on Thursday and both in the 1.40m class on Friday and Saturday they managed to secure2nd place in the standings.
In the 1.45m Longines Ranking class on Thursday, there was a podium place for Van Hoydonck's compatriot Elisa Strubbe and her 10-year-old gelding Deejay KDW Z, a son of Diamant de Semilly and Vigo d'Arsouilles from the Emile De Waele breeding farm. In a jump-off for which 11 combinations managed to qualify, Strubbe and Deejay KDW Z again kept all the bars in the pits and this performance earned her a 3rd place in the standings.
Finally, Belgian rider Mike van Belle also managed to jump into the prizes twice with the 13-year-old mare Frauke Van 't Hagenhof Z (Golden Hawk x Bentley van de Heffinck - F: Patrick Laheyne). During both the 1.35m class on Thursday and Friday, they were good for2nd place in the standings.
