Almost €2 million for Aganix du Seigneur Z son Nikora TSH
© Aloga Auction
Opglabbeek's Sentower Park was once again the setting last night for the Aloga Auction, the exclusive auction of ridden show jumpers organised by Irish brothers Bertram and Harry Allen, German Maxi Lill and Laurens Meynaerts. The collection included 19 show jumpers, with the blood of our Zangersheide stallions particularly strongly represented.
One of the eye-catchers from the collection was the 6-year-old stallion Nikora TSH, a son of our chestnut stallion Aganix du Seigneur Z and also a half-brother of Daniel Bluman's GP mare Gemma W (Luidam). Nikora TSH has been given plenty of time to develop until now, but recently showed his incredible potential at the Andalucia Sunhsine Tour by delivering only clear rounds in the young horse classes. That result, combined with his super looks and extraordinary temperament, helped to ensure that no less than €1,900,000 was paid for this Aganix du Seigneur Z descendant yesterday!
However, Nikora TSH was not the only horse that went under the auction hammer yesterday, which has blue/yellow blood running through its veins. For example, the 7-year-old gelding Dacaron was also put up for sale. Dacaron is a son of Dominator 2000 Z combined with Fighting Alpha, who recently made his international debut under the saddle of German rider Sophie Hinners. Dacaron could count on a lot of interest with his scope, carefulness and winner's mentality and he eventually changed hands for a sum of €240,000.
The collection also included a second offspring of our black pearl, namely the 6-year-old gelding Desperados, a son of Dominator 2000 Z and For Pleasure who was born to breeder Ann-Helene Bruyninckx as Desperados Van Het Mezenhof Z. Desperados stood out with his great posture, outstanding quality and striking technique and was sold for €220,000.
