Alexander Housen and Tip Top van 't Roosakker outclass the competition in the 6-year-old stallions

After the international classes came to an end this afternoon, it was time for the young approved stallions to make their entrance at this third edition of 'The Zangersheide International' just before 16.00 hrs. While with the 5-year-old stallions the emphasis was on a clear round, the 6-year-old stallions did fight for a place in the standings, which also immediately added to the excitement.

A total of 33 combinations made their appearance in the ring during this 1.25m class for 6-year-old stallions and in this, no fewer than 22 managed to clear both the^1st and^2nd phases. After an exciting class, it was Belgian rider Alexander Housen who claimed victory with the chestnut stallion Tip Top van 't Roosakker, a son of Comme Il Faut out of the full sister of none other than Kassander van 't Roosakker Z ( Echo van 't Spieveld x Carthago Z). Housen and the breeding product of Marc Kluskens and Luc Henry fasted to a convincing finishing time of 24.47 seconds in that^2nd phase, outclassing the competition by over 1.5 seconds.

The silver in this stallion class for 6-year-olds stayed at home thanks to British rider Joe Clee and our grey stallion Toèmme de Regor Z, the son of Chacco Blue and Cento from the breeding of Johan Veldeman of De Regor Stables. Clee and Toèmme de Regor made a nice effort with an eye on victory, but with a time of 26.09 seconds they had to clearly acknowledge their superiority to Housen and his Tip Top van 't Roosakker.
