Ailyn R Z and Montevideo Z are the winners of day 2!

Like Friday, yesterday from 09.00h it was first the turn of the fillies to enter the ring and in this series a total of 39 foals were presented to our jury. Victory in this second series went to the foal Ailyn R Z, a breeding product of J. Ruesink who combined the blood of our stallion Ansingh de Lis Z with that of Indorado. Ailyn R Z's dam is the mare Colorado HS, who herself jumped at 1.50m level under the saddle of Dutch rider Hendrik-Jan Schuttert. She is also the dam of the gelding Charmeur (Veron VDL), who in turn jumped at 1.55m level with French rider Severin Hillereau.

Silver in this stretch of mares went to the filly Splendid Z, who was born and raised at Zangersheide Stud. Splendid Z is a daughter of Solid Gold Z and is out of the Comme Il Faut mare Cybele Z, who herself jumped at 1.40m level under the saddle of Angelique Rüsen and is in turn a daughter of the Carthago Z mare Cherry Z, who formed a strong combination with Stefan Corten, but is of course also known as the dam of Judy Ann Melchior's former GP mare Carry Z (Caretano Z).

The colt Capriola AEG Z was third in this series. Capriola AEG Z, as her name already suggested, was bred by Stal Aegten BV and is a daughter of Conthargos combined with Emerald van 't Ruytershof. Granddam Origine van 't Merelsnest (Kannan) is the full sister of the stallion Qionno van 't Merelsnest, who jumps at 1.45m level with Italian rider Giorgio Sacco.

During the second series of stallion foals this afternoon, another 71 foals were presented to our jury and in it, the colt Montevideo Z was declared the overall winner. Bred in Germany by Hof Brüning, Montevideo Z is a son of Mylord Carthago out of the Taloubet Z mare Tijuna van Schuttershof Z, who was sold in 2019 as a foal for 40,000 euros at our Zangersheide Quality Auction and has since given an auction reference himself. Indeed, during last year's Zangerheide Quality Auction, 26,000 euros was paid for her daughter Cartagena Z (Codex Diaz Z).
