Z-Festival Lanaken 2014

August is a festival month and this does not go unnoticed in Lanaken. At Z-Festival the breeders of Studbook Zangersheide show their products to the main public, a professional jury gives them points and places them in the various classes. 

During Z-Festival also the selection for the Zangersheide Quality Auctions are made, which are held in September every year. 

The colts are presented on Friday 1st of August and the fillies on Saturday 2nd of august. On Saturday also the first qualifiers for 5- and 6-yr-old Z-horses are jumped. On Sunday they have their second qualifier. They are two important competitions, for the best three of every age group qualify for the WC for Young Horses in September. Z-horses finishing fourth, fifth and sixth, receive a ticket for the BC in Gesves.

On Sunday 3rd of august there first is the indoor free jumping for 3-yr-olds. Outside the 4-yr-olds are jumping their championship to win a starting place in Gesves. The day is concluded by the second qualifier for 5- and 6-yr-olds Z-horses.
