Michel Jung and Barbara Schnieper are the winners of day 3

After yesterday evening's fantastic Stallion Presentation and with the stallion classes from this afternoon in prospect, there were of course also some international classes on the program today at the Animo Arena in Sentower Park. Around noon, for example, just like yesterday evening, a 1.50m high Longines Ranking class took place and we again got to see a lot of great sport.

Victory in this class against the clock went to the German rider Michael Jung with the 15-year-old mare Fischerchelsea (Check In 2 x Argent). Jung started early in the class and with a clear round in 60.11 seconds he wrote this second Longines Ranking class of the weekend on his list of honors.

The 2nd place went to the French rider Julien Anquetin, who had saddled the 17-year-old gelding Gravity Of Greenhill (Nabab de Rêve x Conterno-Grande) for this class. Anquetin crossed the finish line in 60.79 seconds and was more than half a second short to beat Michael Jung. The Belgian rider Frédéric Vernaet completed the podium in 3rd place with his 13-year-old Zangersheide mare Born To Win Ap Z, a daughter of Bentley van de Heffinck and Toulon who was bred by Piet Calmeyn. Vernaet managed to put a time of 63.15 seconds on the scoreboard.

However, the third day of The Zangersheide International started this morning with a 1.40m class in which it was the Swiss lady rider Barbara Schnieper who claimed the victory. Schnieper had saddled the 11-year-old gelding Toronto Raptor (Totilas x Corofino 2) for this first class of the day and managed to beat the competition with a clear 2nd phase in 30.45 seconds.

The Belgian rider Wim Vinckx followed in 2nd place with the 9-year-old mare Adjani van de Kattevennen Z, a daughter of Aktion Pur Z and Canturo who was bred by BVBA Spronken. Vinckx and Adjani van de Kattevennen Z also kept all the poles in the cups in both the 1st and 2nd phase and this in a time of 30.91 seconds. The 3rd rider who managed to secure a podium place was the French rider Cedric Hurel. He counted on the also 11-year-old gelding Castor d'Hem (Ready Boy des Forets 'Hn' x Richebourg) and managed to reach the finish in 31.21 seconds
