The first group of foals have just been auctioned off in the Zangersheide Quality Auction on Friday night. In front of a full house 40 foals went under the hammer with the fillies raising a higher total average than the colts. The top-seller Chagan Z, a Gancia de Muze-colt sired by Chacco-Blue, sold to the USA for 96.000 euro.
Daiquiri H Z (Diamant de Semilly x Nabab de Reve) a full sister to Mumbai was the highest selling filly. The beautiful filly set pulses racing in the auction and by the end of the bidding contest found new American owners for 82.000 euro.
Two other foals were knocked down for prices over half a ton. Cara Electra DK Z (Conthargos x Carthago Z) sold for 68.000,- and Cherry KCX Berghoeve Z (Chacco-Blue x Nabab de Reve) was bought for 56.000 euro. Both fillies will go to France.
The fillies overall sold very-well this evening with an average price of 39.158 euro. The colts raised an average selling price of 34.000 euro.
With buyers from all over the world tuning in, there is no surprise the foals have found new owners all over the globe. As far away as Brazil and closer to home with multiple foals remaining in Belgium and others leaving for Ireland, Great Britain, Poland, Germany, Spain, Austria and the Netherlands.
